Good Day everyone (:
Hope you've been enjoying the long weekend!
I was browsing through youtube videos when i came across origami bookmarks tutorials
And i decided to try my hand on one!
A couple of steps were pretty tricky, but i managed to prevail! heez
If you're interested in making your own kitty bookmark,
here's the video link.

haha this is how it looks like when you bookmark! cuteeee?
i decided to add some white cheeks for it after..

here's my finished origami.
kitty with a striped tail (:
Hi dears! (:
Hope you are having a great weekend morning..
I have a problem and hope that you can help me!!

I have slightly below shoulder hair, and i think i've been losing hair quite a lot.
When i bathe, I actually counted the amount of hair that got collected at the "drain".
it's around 40+! GOSH. it's quite scary. and most of them are uprooted kind. not the broken half-way kind.
I drop hair quite easily i think. throughout the hair, probably i lose another 30?
I would like to know if you have such problems too... and how do you deal with it?
I like to use v hot water to bathe, i was thinking if it weree one of the contributing factors for more hair loss..
SObs. i think i've been having hair fall problems since maybe a few years ago?
but i haven't been taking much note about it.
but now i think i'm starting to worry and would like to hear your personal inputs about reducing hair fall! (:
it would be great if you have some recommendations for good pdts/ hair care routines :D
After some more research:
other ways you may reduce hairfall..
1. Avoid tying hair too much/too tightly
2. Eat healthily (take more VitB rich foods)
3. Use a clarifying shampoo to get rid of dry skin/buildup on the scalp
4. Never let conditioner touch the scalp
Located just within the National Museum of Singapore
A chinese restaurant, decorated with antiques
be prepared for a picture heavy post!! ENJOY :D

Here comes the FOOD pictures:

Mini buddha jump over the wall
A soupy affair filled with abalone, sharkfin, fish maw, mushroom, sea cucumbers
treasures in a bowl (:

Roasted Duck in super crispy wrap
The sauce is unique, tastes abit like orange peels (:
nothing like the usual peking duck sauce

Alright, this one looks like a normal sotong ball right!
but guess what, there's a piece of foie gras in the middle of the prawn mix (;

Their chef's specialty roast chicken.
juicy and v v crisp skin. nice

Pan Fried Cod Fish (:

Stir Fried "four seasons beans"
this one was rather salty, as you can see its abit black (overcooked?)
but they were nice enough, when we voiced it out
changed a new plate of veg for us (:

Steamed Grouper

Pumkpin sauce prawn.
that tastes AMAZING i love this dish the most! hee
it's like salted egg prawn!

lastly, crab meat noodles (:
museum dining. fine dining indeed.
Hello everyone!
here's a little post about how i turned my dusty pink leather pumps into a plummy pink (:
lol...when i bought my shoes, it WAS a NICE dusty pink.
but, after months of wearing to school/out almost daily..
it turned really DUSTY-looking.
but it wasn't the dust, really. lol
i think the leather got seasoned and it turned out that way.
it looked dirty and ugly worn!! i realised it when i was in lecture a few days ago.
i was bored. looked down at my feet.
and BAM! i thought.. i needed to do something to this pair of shoes!!
so i searched online about how to shine your leather shoes and such..
i came across interesting articles like
how you can use the inside of banana peel to shine your shoe even!
i almost thought of trying it.
Oh i searched for leather paints too.
"perhaps i can repaint it a darker pink or something??" wonders dooey..
There were also articles saying you can use vaseline jelly to condition your leather pdts.
and hmmm... i thought, i have LUSH ultrabalm, maybe it will work
after all, it's like oil based and just yeaa.. different types of oil
So, i went home and started working on my pair of shoes
Took out a cloth and my ultrabalm
and wipe wipe wipe, buff buff*
it was an instantaneous effect the ultrabalm had on the leather
dusty pink immediately turned a dark plummy pink
HAHAHA. I think, i'm quite happy with the results.
but when my mum saw it, she was like
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO YOUR SHOE!? SO WET?!"
cos when my shoe gets wet, it turns such a colour too. (but when it dries, it reverts back)
it's been 2 days since i conditioned my shoes,
and the effect is still there.
i guess it's there to stay (:

Have you tried doing something like this before?
do share if there're better ideas out there to save my leather shoes!! (:
ytd was my first time dining at Nandos!
it's usually packed with ppl and has long queues.
but ytd my bf and i happened to be there early around 11plus.
since the lunch crowd wasn't there yet
we decided to dine in at Nandos (:

Our Appetizer:
creamy mushroom chicken soup. It was great, thick with alot of chicken and mushroom bits in it.
Not the usual campbell canned soup.
but 1 of the breads was abit too charred to be eaten :X

A refreshing blend of peppermint and citrus juices (:
Liked it very much!
too good to be shared...

And their famous peri-peri sauce.
If i'm not wrong, most of their main dishes comes with peri-peri sauce.
and they have a few variations:
lemon herb/mild/hot/very hot
I ordered a mango chicken pita, with peri fries as my side
The pita was like a wrap kind of bread stuffed with chicken breast slices and mango mild peri sauce
As you can see, the serving of fries was HUGE!

His lemon herb sauce grilled chicken
i tried abit of the chicken, and it tastes gooooood (:
his came with 2 sides, grilled veg and peri fries.

In this post, i shall be sharing with you:
[ Some Simple Ways... to Keep the Little Things from Taking Over Your Life ]
At the same time, it'll be reminders for myself as well.
Life can often be very hectic, and our days scheduled with long to-do lists.
but, the way we handle our tasks and the way we look at life
can be managed.
In fact, if managed well, despite a heavy workload, it is possible to feel at peace, and happy with our lives.
Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff:
You could be wasting much of your energy on matters that are not really important. If you can let go of these less consequential concerns, you can have more energy to enjoy life.
Make Peace with Imperfection:
Your need to have the world absolutely perfect can be a result of your too much attention on the ways in which the world isn’t. Your insistence on perfection then becomes the cause of your own discontent, your own frustration.
Let Go of the Idea that Gentle, Relaxed People Can’t Be Super achievers:
Perhaps you believe that if you were to become less stressed and less pressured, you will become lazy and therefore achieve less. Just the opposite is true. A more relaxed individual is more creative; more motivated, and is able to accomplish more.
Be Aware of the Snowball Effect of Your Thinking:
Perhaps you have thoughts that build upon themselves, multiplying quickly, agitating you, and causing your emotions to go from bad to worse. By stopping these thoughts before they multiply, you can avoid adding them and their effects to your problems.
Do Something Nice for Someone Else and Don’t Tell Anyone About It:
Telling others about your act of kindness only reduces the pleasure you derive from the act.
Let Others Have the Glory:
A deep feeling of serenity comes with no longer needing to have everyone’s attention directed towards you.
Learn to Live in the Present Moment:
The past is done and cannot be changed, the future is yet to come. By focusing on the present moment, you concentrate on a period that you are capable of influencing and can actually derive pleasure from.
Become More Patient:
Patience is a requisite to your capacity to accept life for what it is. This acceptance is necessary to the enjoyment of life.
Choose Your Battles Wisely:
Not all battles are worth the energy required to fight them.
See the Glass as Already Broken (and Everything Else Too):
Expect things to break. Expect things to end. Through this, you will not overreact when they do. Nothing lasts forever.
Breathe Before You Speak:
Breathing facilitates successful communication. The person you are speaking with will feel listened to.
He will be more inclined to listen to you.
Relax:
You can control the way you respond. You can train yourself to respond in a less stressful way to the things that are happening in your life.
Count to Ten:
It helps keep you from overreacting.
and now... Abit about myself:
I am definitely someone who so often sweat the small stuff!!
I get stressed up really easily. with project deadlines, tests, health issues..blabla
when i feel stressed, i can become v impatient.. >.<
to those whom i'm close to, i will outrightly show my impatience and become highly irritable.
to others, i will simply become v quiet, and zone out.
When i'm angry, i tend to shoot my mouth off. speaking brainlessly.
haha i'm aware of my shortcomings..
and thus, once in awhile, it's nice to sit down and remind myself to slow down, breathe and relax.
Stress can be managed (:
Credits: Don't sweat the small stuff - and it's all small stuff.
i visited yew tee point's LiLi Beauty for an eyebrow trimming today.
and i saw a 1st time trial promo - Deep Cleansing Trial Set for $39.90 (U.P.$88)
I thought mm.. since i'm having blemishes here and there i might as well go for it too!
and to add, i have some whiteheads/blackheads on my T-zone areas too.
It was a pleasant experience of first, a cleansing routine followed by a gentle scrub.
then, there was steaming of the face before extractions. GOSH!! EXTRACTIONS!!!!
it was my first time having a professional extraction done. and it HURTS LIKE MAD.
seriously, this is officially my most painful facial experience everrr.
i've always heard that extractions hurt alot. but i thought i have quite a high pain threshold for facial treatments.
but i was wrong! this hurt a hundred times more than.. maybe say..eyebrow trimming. lol....
I could feel myself tearing up as she extracted my blackheads/whiteheads.
Well, according to the beautician, some of my blackheads/whiteheads were deeply embedded in my skin and clogged.
plus since it was my first time doing extractions, it would hurt quite badly.
so then, i kept telling myself "endure endure, it will help to clear my skin!! it's good for me!"
oh.. and i had some oil seeds that she removed as well. (argh pain)
And, finally, when the extractions ended... (PHEWW!!)
it was time for an essential oil massage.
mmm~ that was a soothing facial procedure.
me like! it smelt faintly of lavender (:
it was just like a treat after all that torture. lol
And the final part was application of a soothing, oil-control cream mask.
she left it on for around 20mins.
and that was the end of the DEEP CLEANSING FACIAL!
Overall i enjoyed it very much, except i absolutely hated the extractions!! )':
SO PAINFUL >.<
Here's how i look like now...

i had a few pimples on my face before going for the facial.
i think she pricked them and cleansed them. but that made my pimples looks so RED now.
when i looked into the mirror after the facial, i was like "WHAT!?!"
why so red... i heard it's normal to have redness after facials.
but it just seems so strange. Facial actually made my face look much worse than before.
but, the beautician told me the redness will fade after today..
mm.. we'll see.
sobs. i don't know. i hope it turns out well by... maybe Saturday. (:
hopefully all the cleansing is well-worth!
and ohya, i liked the way she trimmed my brows. leaving it in its natural shape.
realised i've been spamming the blog with unsightly pictures of my face recently. haha.
*hope it doesn't irk you too much* :p
i miss my clear skin! jiayou dooey in getting back nice skin!
is it stress or what?! lol

with Clinique's Super Strawberry chubby stick on! (:
i'm loving this moisturizing lip balm with a hint of pink.
And as for updates on my pimples..
they're definitely getting flatter and better alrdy!
but there's still some scarring left behind..
probably give it a month more or something for the scars to lighten!
There used to be a time when blackheads on my nose were the biggest/only problems i had.
I used to apply biore nose packs on my nose, trying to uproot them.
however it always didn't manage to pull out much
leaving the blackheads embedded in my nose for months/years! *ewwww i know*
hahaha
But, in recent years
i started using healpharm and it worked amazingly well
i used bliv off with those heads to maintain my clean nose too
now when i touch my nose
it feels smooth and almost new!
BUT.....!!!
in the recent few months, although my nose felt like a new nose
my face started breaking out with big pimples
i usually don't get big pimples...not those that looks red and measures probably more than 3mm?
but guess what recently i've been especially blessed with lots of such pimples
on my forehead, cheek... >.<
super irritating... and they don't subside easily
worst still, even when they subside, dark marks are left behind
as if to remind me of their possible appearance once again *shudderssss*
OK...and so yesterday i whipped out my clay mask from bods and applied it on:

Well, i don't know..but when your skin looks awful
a deep clarifying mask don't seem to do much instantly
it doesn't suck out your pimples
it doesn't flatten out your pimples
it doesn't remove acne marks
but well at least my skin felt cleaner
and ready for any further treatments
alrights, here's my problem areas:
right cheek, and around the mouth
left cheek

**Sorry if i made you cringe**
And then, this morning...
i was ransacking through stuff that i have for acne treatments
i have Mario Badescu drying cream (left over from my sprees)
Acne clear pimple treatment lotion ( ~$6 from guardian)
Proactiv solution repairing lotion
AND an empty little bottle of Skin Peptoxyl Anti-blemish Spot Treatment!!
You know.. when something is used till its totally empty...
it usually means something!!!
and there there.. I knew i had to replace it (:
i rmb buying it maybe 2 months back, when i had some outbreaks too.
and it worked really well for my pimples
clearing them in probably a few days
TADAH..
here's the new bottle. it's tiny isn't it!!
got it from SASA.

alrights, lets hope it clears my pimples soon (:
will upload pictures for progress.
Good Morninggggg~!
it's early tuesday morning.. and i woke up went into the bathroom, and SNIPPED off my fringe.
(yup it's exactly as random as it sounds)
I always had short fringes somewhere between the brows and my eyes..
and i liked it that way..
but recently, i decided to grow out my fringe and let it fall to my mouth areaa..
past few days i kept thinking whether i should grow it even longerrrrr... or snip it back to how it was.
haha.... and in the end, SNIPPPP. off came my fringe!
Have you tried cuttin your own hair before???!
it's quite a fun thing to do actually.
To some of my friends, cutting your own hair is a TOO adventurous thing.. lol
TRUE, very true
sometimes, if i snip too much, i end up looking silly for a good 2 weeks.
HAHA.
but i think...
this time, it should be ok? (:

helloo to you!
ytd i just met up with Shaza to collect my everydayminerals stuff from her (:
and tadahhh.. here's what i ordered via her spree:
these are definitely my 1st items ever.. from EDM!
I ordered a Sweet Perfection Conceal Kit
( which includes 2 roller ball concealers - Mint and Multi-tasking, finishing dust, and a concealer brush)
A mini blush - Apple
Base - Medium Tan ( for contouring)
See Pictures below!! (:

My first impression of EDM:
I like the silk-like texture of the mineral powders!
very smooth..and fine :D
But at the same time, i don't really like loose powders, cos' they can get messy after a while..
Any ways to prevent mess?
have you tried playing with this before!?! (:
this is a Jap "toy" which is edible too.. ^^
we got the sushi pack, which didn't require any baking at all.
but the "recipe" was in jap, so we just agak agak..
look at pictures and follow!!
basically most of the "ingredients" came in sachets of powder/little sugar crystals
then all we needed to do was add some water and mix it..
check out the pictures below:

SUSHI!! (:
quite fun leh hahah..
i love the squeezing part of the roe!
i really don't know how they made it...
but they're are all grape-flavoured candy!
and the rice was so QQ, like mochi.
AMAZING!~
Hi everyone, here's a FOodie post!
At Tien Court Restaurant @ Copthorne King's Hotel Singapore (:

1. Peking duck (chef's recommendation)

4. Steamed fish!
5. Drunken Prawns
6. Stir fried veggy
Didn't manage to capture photos for 2 of the dishes >.< haha
The coolest part was the celebrity chef
who came out and stopped by each table and spoke to the diners!
He's a taiwanese, but i'm not show what's his name...haha
( he appeared on Channel 8's variety shows quite alot)
he was quite humourous, sharing with us that he'll be going for another TV show soon..

To end off this post, i would like to thank TagsAndLabels for gifting me this pair of pretty earrings (:

**Dazzling diamonds**
it's so pretty right!?
every woman's gift indeed (:
That's all for now! (: thanks for reading!
hi everyone (:
thanks for reading dooeymeows!
in this post, i've decided to share something rather personal with you :D heex.
...it's my daily cleansing routine & stuff that i've been using for quite some time...
the above shows the most basic cleansing products i use when i wash up
1. Skinfood Black Sugar Deep Cleansing Cream
2. Heroine make mascara remover
3. TheFaceShop herb day lip & eye makeup remover
4. TheBodyShop Tea Tree Skin clearing facial wash
5. Tulipe Doree Creme Mousse
Nowadays, i put on sunblock! i try to daily... (: especially with the scorching sun it's almost a must!
So, i use my deepcleansingcream for removal.
then, if i happen to have light makeup, i use this for removal too at the end of the day.
As for mascara removal...
it can be a huge hassle when removing waterproof ones
But, the Heroine make mascara remover is my FAVOURITE!
it's super easy to use cos' it's just like a mascara applicator..
and it removes my waterproof majolica majorca mascara REALLY WELL
v convenient and fuss free (: love this alot.
Following removals of this and that...
i normally use my bodyshop's teatree face wash (:
it cleanses away all the dirt and oil v well, yet is not too drying!
no complaints about this either.
As for the last product, tulipe doree's cleansing mousse,
i use this once a week or so..
it's under a special care range, and helps to deeply cleanse skin
to prevent blackheads, blemishes..
To me, a clean face and thus a great cleansing process is v impt!
cos' i don't usually wear much makeup. so translucent and blemish free face would be ideal.
lol... not that i have that.. but i strive to achieve a least blemished face as possible.
now that you know more about my cleansing routine,
I will be sharing more of my skincare products in the next post soon!
*thanks for reading*
cheers!!

Ok, ***dingding!!***
Here is a little reminder post for me, and for anyone who's reading to take good care of ourselves,
not only on the outside, but more importantly on the inside (:
To be honest, i haven't been keeping a healthy lifestyle or diet since 2012! >.<
totally forgot about it, i've been so pleased with my weight loss since i took out my wisdom teeth last december
that i thought i can just indulge and stop watching my weight/health. LOL
next culprit was CNY, and all the festive moods.
all the get-together dinners, and cny cookies.
i totally missed out on healthy fruits and veg! ok i ate them, but it was rather minimal.
with no conscientious effort to eat them daily.
and so from today onwards, it's time to WAKE UP!!
and start taking care of our bodies kayyys (:
Some friendly reminders:

+ Eat more fruits daily <3
+ Eat more Veg daily <3
+ Drink more plain water <3
+ Eat my supplements daily (Omega 3, TCM pill) <3
+ Exercise at least twice a week
( 1 squash lesson, and another during free time)

- Avoid soft drinks
- Avoid fast foodss!!
- Avoid deep fried foods!
- Stop munching on cookies/biscuits/chocolates!
(now that i set this rule, i recall i've been eating so much of these last few weeks tsktsk.)
so, yup it's all about making the right decisions for ourselves (:
I don't believe in entirely giving up on your fav yet unhealthy foods,
but more of keeping a conscious mind when choosing your meals.
to make sure you eat more of the good stuff, and less of those unhealthy ones!
Here's a little post on something i've gotten myself recently!
It's a portable charger! (: for my phone and ipad..
I use my phone quite alot when i'm outside/in school.
I'm like 24/7 on my dataplan..surfing onsugar, browsing facebook newsfeeds, and surfing flowerpod etc..
so, my battery runs out like... rather fast!!!
So, i decided to get myself a reliable and heavy-duty mobile charger (: (: heehee..
I've certainly tried a fair share of chargers sold in fleamarkets, pasar malams etc.
but they often go crazyyy on me..stop working after a short while.
or lose their power storing capacity soon after.
TADAHHH...

i've finally settled for a YOOBAO charger! lol..
capacity of 11200mah
which can charge my phone up to 8 times. SUPERR AMAZING right?!
I got it for $75 online..the cheapest source i can find for this model alrdy..
But i think it's Money well spent la...
cos' it's much more powerful and reliable than all the other cheapcheap chargers i've tried before. lol
So, do you also use portable chargers to keep ur phones alive too? (:
haha thanks for reading my little techie post hahah..
written by a so-not-techie person though :p

hi everyone! i'm finally back on onsugarrrr (:
been really sick the past few days right after CNY..
high fever with super sore throat.
and oman.. the clinic was superrrr crowded when i finally decided to see a doctor.
but at least, now i'm recovering~
So, how's your CNY celebrations?

here's a happy picture taken with my brother, cousin at one of our aunt's house little garden swing (:
its like one of our fav spots for taking pics every year! lol

and of cos' the best part of CNY haha.. the exchange of mandarin oranges and red packets! (:
the younger generation presents a pair of mandarin oranges for the married adults, and get red packets in return.
good trade rite? hahaha
and a chain of auspicious words would be exchanged too (:

and on CNY day 1, we had our brunch at great world city's CEDELE.
my first time dining there and i like it !
it's a nice cozy restaurant selling well healthier food (:
this is what my brother ordered.
chicken with portobello mushroom, potato patty, salad greens and some beetroot sauce

and this is mine.. also chicken portobello but in a sandwich! (:
v yummy.. but the portion's really bigggggg.. i was feeling so full after i finished the whole plate myself heee

heehee.. and here's my grandfather enjoying his salmon salad (:
hi everyone! today's the eve of CNY!! and everyone seems to be hyped up for CNY (:
haha..i've been munching on CNY goodies alrdy...though it haven't officially started. heeheex.
till today, alrdy had 2 Lao Yu Sheng!! later dinner would be the 3rd time HAHA.
i love CNY cos' everyone is in a nice festive mood. everyone's happy! isn't that nice?
and...i look forward to collecting RED PACKETS! wheeee~ that's probably one of the best things that happen in CNY haha
and... we can get to dress up! and eat! and catch up with loved ones :D

dinner last night at Ang Mo Kio's St43 JIN FU coffee shop restaurant (:
with bf and family and some relatives.
didn't take pictures for all the dishes haha.. only the first 2. haha..
1st: the cold dish! generous serving of lobster (: and the cripsy stuff by the side was equally nice
and next: abaloneeeyyy (:

How would your reunion dinner?
this year my family will be dining out! at Great World City tonight~ (:
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL :D
may it be a great year of the DRAGON for everyone cheeeeerssss!!
Dinner at Man Fu Yuan - Intercontinental Hotel (:
Hi all (:
CNY is just around the corner.. and i guess many restaurants have started dishing out their CNY menus!
So, last saturday evening, I joined my bf's family at Man Fu Yuan for a set meal :D
6 dishes, including PEN CAI! OMG it was such a FEAST that we had to take away the unfinished huge pot of pen cai!!!!
i loveeee all the dishes, probably except the yu sheng hahaha..
i don't like all kinds of yu sheng la.. cos' every mouth has ginger bits in it :X and i really dislike the taste of ginger

the pretty yu sheng! (: i ate mainly the crispy stuff and raw salmon only heehee

Next was the warm sharkfins and crabmeat soup :D yumyum
this was nice. big pieces of sharksfin and crabmeat can be found.

When this came.. we were like.. "WOOOOWWW..."
hahaha this is PEN CAI. it's arranged in layers and filled with 24 types of delicacies inside!
it's super yummy. especially like the scallop, sea cucumber, dried oysters, and fish maw!!
this is like CNY luxe speciality (:
we got to maybe halfway through this pot.. and decided to take away the rest.
cos' you know!! we still have other dishes to goooo~ haha

4th dish: fishhhhh (: oops i forgot what fish this is... but the skin is really crispy and nice (:

And this one... is their salted egg yolk big prawns!
v fragrant yet not v salty :D one of the best salted egg yolk dishes around i say!

And lastly, their dessert (:
purple yam soup with chunks of yam and one black sesame dumpling inside
quite nice, it's a hot dessert anyways.
haha.. and then, we all walked out of the restaurant feeling full and happy.. kekeke
now it's time to stop eating so much!! else we'll all look fat in CNY photos! :X hahahaha...
Hello ladies!! (:
CNY is just around the corner! yayy
So in preparation for the festive season, have you bought your new clothes yet?!
If you haven't, let me introduce to you a newly opened online boutique named:
|| The Handlebar ||

Featuring one of their high waist shorts (:
i love the material used, it's feels furry on the outside lol...
it's thick and quality seems really impressive. nice!
it's a dark red rich red colour..super pretty
i might consider wearing it for CNY hee

Anyways, just a question for you..
"Have you ever stopped yourself from getting a pretty dress because you know
"Everybody" will be sooo wearing that!!??"
Though there's absolutely nothing illegal with wearing the same clothes,
it just feels v embarrasing when one gets caught in such a situation right?!
Right now, The Handlebar kindly solves your problem !
by restricting the number of ppl who can get their hands on their pretty clothes!
in other words, their dresses/tops/shorts/skirts come in REALLY limited no. of pieces (:
They even do mass meetups in town for those who prefer to get their stuff directly! cool right?
Here's a little preview for their upcoming collection on MONDAY!! :
